Applications

Applications play a central role in Gridcore's business and product development. Gridcore supports all applications used by its customers in the form of a pre installed software distribution called Gompute Server.

 
Gompute Server ranges from basic mathematical libraries, CAD, meshing and visualization software to self-contained continuum mechanics solvers. Some of these applications are commercial, others are open source and license free. All Gompute Server software are bundled with a compliant environment variables set which are loaded before the use of the application. Thus different releases of the same package may co-exist. This modularized environment allows users or system administrators to tailor flexibly their software environment according to changing requests.

Gompute Server is a complement of the usual operating systems supported by the Software providers, for the time being SUSE Linux,  Red Hat, Windows CCS and Windows HPC server 2008. Some of the applications supported by Gompute Server are: all Ansys products (e.g. Fluent, Ansys FEM, CFX, etc...), Abaqus, LS-Dyna, OpenFOAM, MSC products, etc...
