Mefos chooses Gridcore as the supplier of their new computational
resource for technical computing.The choice was to implement a
Linxubased AMD Opteron cluster with Distributed Resource Managment.
The first part of the new resource was installed during the summer of
2003 and was expanded and taken in real production in October 2003.
Applications used in the resource are Phoenics, Fluent, LS-Dyna, Msc.Marc and inhouse developed applications.
Some specifications of the cluster are: 38 AMD Opteron 244 processors, 38GB RAM, 1.88TB disk and Gigabit etherner.
