Gridcore AB is looking for a systems engineer with experience in High Performance Computing to join its team in Gothenburg (Sweden)
Description:
- Good knowledge of Linux (or Unix) system administration, scripting in Bourne shell and Python, Linux filesystems, LVM and ext3 and xfs are required.
- Technical skills as mounting hardware and configuring it will be required from time to time.
- Documentation of systems, including operating instructions, will be an important part of the work, so you must be able to express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
- Good analytical skills to troubleshoot systems in commissioning and operating disruptions are also required.
Extra knowledge in parallel file systems (primarily IBM GPFS), high-speed networks as InfiniBand, queueing systems (Sun Grid Engine), network technology, DHCP, PXE, programs for scientific and technical computing, parallel execution environments such as MPI and PVM, and the benchmark program HPLinpack will be valuable.
Minimum requirements:
- Swedish citizenship is required
- Advance level of English is needed (extra languages valuable)
- Driving license B not required but valuable
- The work may involve a greater number of trips within Scandinavia and Europe
